Sage Park Apartments is a partnership between BRIDGE Housing and the Los Angeles Unified School District to develop 90 affordable rental apartments for families on a 3.5-acre site located on the north side of the Gardena High School campus. Sage Park will offer 29 one-bedroom, 31 two-bedroom and 30 three-bedroom apartments in two- and three-story wood frame buildings; all units will have private decks or balconies. Amenities include a fitness room, community room, laundry facilities, a community garden and landscaped courtyards. BRIDGE will also provide a service coordinator who will develop individualized support service plans for each household. Sage Park Apartments was designed to achieve LEED Silver designation and the proposed landscaping plan will utilize planting and related materials that are sustainable and respect the existing environment.
