Mountain Breeze Villas is a 10-building, 2-story, 168-unit multifamily property located in Southern California. Partner Energy conducted a Green PNA in compliance with CalHFA and California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (CTCAC) sustainability requirements. In collaboration with building management, Partner Energy evaluated a suite of potential measures that would meet the project’s energy savings goals. Partner Energy also conducted Home Energy Rating Service (HERS) verification at the property for code compliance.
The comprehensive retrofit achieved over 15% modeled energy savings, also qualifying the project for the Southern California Edison-SoCal Gas Multifamily Rebate Pilot Program. The energy efficiency measures, which include new windows, ENERGY STAR® appliances, HVAC and water heaters, will be eligible for an anticipated rebate of approximately $135,000. In addition, Partner Energy connected the project to Edison’s multifamily free lighting program to replace inefficient lighting with high-efficacy lighting products at no cost to the owner.
