Buchanan Park Apartments is a 2- and 3-story, 68-unit, multifamily affordable housing development in San Francisco. Partner Energy conducted an Energy Audit in compliance with California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (CTCAC) sustainability requirements. In collaboration with building management, Partner Energy evaluated a suite of potential measures that would meet the project’s energy saving goals.

The comprehensive retrofit achieved over 32% modeled energy site savings, also qualifying the project for the Energy Upgrade California Multifamily Rebate Program. The energy efficiency measures, which included new sliding glass doors, indoor HVAC, high-efficiency indoor lighting, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and solar water heating system will be eligible for an anticipated rebate of at least $40,000. The anticipated Multifamily Affordable Solar Housing (MASH) rebate was set to be $270,000.
