Burberry store in San Francisco

Description:

The Burberry flagship store is located in a historic townhouse building in San Francisco’s Union Square that is a designated California Historical Landmark. The existing store was completely renovated to include all new systems, displays and finishes.

Partner Energy created an energy model of the property and provided commissioning services, working to honor and preserve the essential aspects of this well-known site. The design included variable refrigerant flow (VRF) united HVAC, which improved the efficiency of building heating and cooling. LED light fixtures reduced energy consumption 20% better than the Title 24 state building code standard.

The project was completed in 2014 and achieved LEED Gold certification under the Commercial Interiors Retail rating system. Owner and design team rebates from Pacific Gas & Electric are expected for the energy efficiency measures and when LEED certification is awarded.
