Orizaba Park Community Center

Description:

The Orizaba Park Community Center is a 5,000 square foot community building owned by the city Parks & Recreation department. The project has implemented energy efficiency measures to reduce its energy consumption by 34% and water reduction measures to lower its water consumption by 37%.

The design also includes sustainable site strategies including native plants, low-emission vehicle parking, a cool roof, and an education program to promote sustainability to the community.

Construction was completed in August 2014. The project was awarded LEED-NC Gold Certification in the Spring of 2015.
