2024 Green Certification Projects

Demand for Green Certifications

Demand for green certifications will continue to rise in 2025, as affordable housing developers require green certifications to comply with LIHTC QAP and other housing funding requirements, such as for California’s CTCAC Program. Additionally, investors with ESG goals or GRESB reporting needs are also asking for green certifications as they aim to reach sustainability targets. Those wanting to qualify for financing incentives via HUD or Fannie/Freddie also continue to require green certifications. Meanwhile, institutions such as universities and K-12 schools, as well as public agencies, drive additional demand for green certifications due to legislative requirements.
