Diagnostic testing is used to understand the likely causes and appropriate solutions to problems in the operation and maintenance of buildings. Testing also verifies the effectiveness of implemented improvements.

Defects and faults in building systems and equipment can be a significant source of energy consumption. Testing for defects and faults helps find causes and identify appropriate solution that lower consumption and reduce maintenance costs.

Clients may use diagnostic testing services as part of a LEED, ENERGY STAR®, Enterprise Green Communities, or GreenPoint Rated certification project, and to demonstrate compliance with energy efficiency requirements in utility rebate programs and tax credit financing programs for low income and affordable housing.
