- Energy Modeling
The Burberry San Francisco Flagship store, located in San Francisco, is a five-story, 14,000 square foot historic townhouse building. The store is located in San Francisco’s Union Square, designated as a California Historical Landmark. Partner Energy provided energy modeling and commissioning services, all while aiming to honor and preserve the essence of the well-known historical site.
As part of the commissioning process, the existing store was renovated and all new systems, displays and finishes were added as part of the renovation. Variable refrigerant flow (VRF) HVAC united were included in the design which help improving the efficiency of the heating and cooling systems. The design of the retail center also included LED light fixtures to reduce energy consumption 20% better than the Title 24 standard.
The project was completed in early fall of 2014 and the project is pursuing a Gold certification under the LEED for Commercial Interiors Retail rating system. The project will also be receiving owner and design team rebates from Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for the energy efficiency measures and achievement of LEED certification.
