The Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) program, administered by the Southern California Council of Governments and by the California Department of Housing and Community Development, is designed to incentivize reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in California by funding affordable housing projects near sustainable transportation and jobs.

The program is funded through revenue generated from the California Cap and Trade emissions reduction legislation AB32. Each fall, AHSC releases a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) to support new construction or renovation of affordable housing, or transportation infrastructure projects. Funding awards are made in June.

Partner Energy supports clients in their funding application process by providing design consulting, energy modeling to estimate project energy use, renewable energy sizing, and greenhouse gas emission calculations to be used for submittal to the program.
