On Thursday June 23, 2011 the 1st Annual Valley Green Building Education Conference and Expo was held at Cal State University Northridge. This one day event was presented by The San Fernando Valley Green Team & USGBC-LA Chapter and was jam packed with lectures, roundtable sessions and influential speakers. Some of the lectures that the Partner Energy team attended were “LEED EBOM Challenges and Obstacles in Achieving Certification,” “Governor Brown’s Clean Energy Plan and Its Impact on All of Us,” Residential and Multi-Family Energy Assessments,” “Energy Upgrade and PACE” and “ LEED 101.”
In addition to these phenomenal Green Building and sustainability sessions, all attendees were given the opportunity to tour some of the University’s most energy efficient and technologically advanced buildings.
