Title 24

A part of the California Green Building Standards code (CAL Green)

Properties need to do a Title 24 report to show compliance with CA energy code.​
There are two methods to do this:

  1. Prescriptive: must show that all components of the rehab that require permits comply with Title 24.​​
  2. Performance: use trade offs b/w different construction components as long as the project overall demonstrates code compliance. This method employs the use of an energy model that demonstrates the whole project’s performance over code baseline.
