Summary
Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) offers financial incentives for its commercial customers through a variety of programs to install energy efficient equipment and measures. Programs include:
- Heat pump water heater rebates - commercial
- HVAC rebates
- Commercial customized rebates
- Lighting retrofit (self-install)
- Electric Vehicles
The heat pump water heater rebates offers $1,500 - $4,000 per water heater for A1, A2, A3, M1 and M3 business customers. HVAC rebates include incentives for cooling equipment, reflective window film, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Custom rebates based on kWh savings are available for motors, lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, and computer systems. Finally, self-install lighting retrofits are being offered an incentive of $0.23/kWh.
To qualify for incentives, customers must first fill out the application forms available on the program web site, and schedule a pre- and post-installation inspection. Alameda Municipal Power will then award the rebate once they receive the proofs of purchase and conduct the post-installation inspection. Incentive amounts can be seen below. For further program information, see AMP's website. Additional incentives are offered for New Construction and Electric Vehicles. Those DSIRE listings can be found here and here, respectively.
