Summary
*NYSERDA expects to launch the Charge Ready NY 2.0 Program in Q2 2023.
Charge Ready NY, a program of NYSERDA, offers a rebate to private and public organizations that install level 2 EV charging stations at public parking facilities, workplaces, and multifamily apartment buildings. This rebate is valued at $4,000 per charging port installed. There is also an additional $500 rebate for ports that are installed after December 10, 2020 in disadvantaged communities. An additional rebate of $1,500 per port exists for those replacing existing charging equipment that is over 5 years old. Charge Ready NY incentives are limited to $200,000 per entity, per year.
To be eligible for this rebate, equipment must meet the requirements described in RFQL 3902. Participants must install a minimum of two ports per site and operate the equipment for at least 5 years from the installation date. A maximum of 20 charging ports per site may be applied for, any request for the installation of more than 10 ports per site will be reviewed by NYSERDA to determine if the number of ports is appropriate.
