Energy Audit

The Energy Audit is a hands-on assessment of a building’s energy usage, its energy using equipment, and building conditions that may cause excessive energy consumption. Once a building’s energy consumption is understood, projects that can reduce the energy consumption or Energy Efficiency Measures (“EEMs”) can be identified and recommended. The purpose of the energy audit is to provide information on EEMs that is detailed enough to allow business owners and managers to make implementation decisions based on their current and future business goals. Often times the decision to implement EEMs are based on need, budgets, capital investment return criteria, green branding goals, and sustainability goals.

Partner Energy provides the following information on every recommended Energy Efficiency Measure:

  • Scope of Work
  • Estimated install cost
  • Energy and Cost Savings
  • Rebates and Incentives
  • Simple Payback Period
  • Greenhouse gas emission savings
  • Impact on Energy Star Rating

The ultimate goal is to reduce energy consumption and improve the performance of your building. The end result is a myriad of benefits, such as:

  • Increased asset value through reducing operating costs and increased revenue
  • Hedge against future rising energy costs
  • Increase building occupant satisfaction, productivity and safety
  • Quantify future building value and operating income during building acquisition due diligence
  • Meet and exceed capital investment return criteria
  • Comply with energy efficiency disclosure laws and regulations
  • Promote environmental stewardship by reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions
